Down Rite Boring Inc. is a family owned small business located in Foley Minnesota serving not only the central Minnesota area but much of the state.  We were incorporated in 2002 when I bought my first trucks and drill.  Since this time we have been traveling the state installing utilities underground in almost every imaginable situation.

We install most every type of underground product out there including various sized waterlines, sewer lines, power lines, phone lines, and cable television lines.  We also install conduit and duct work for all the above from 1 inch waters lines up to small runs of 12 inch sewer pipe and all sizes in between.  Over the years we have worked closely with not only home owners and farmers but also electrical contractors, numerous city utilities, landscaping firms, well drillers, sewer and water contractors, electric power and phone companies and the MN Dept. of Transportation.

Directional Boring or Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) involves beginning to drill from the surface of the ground, drilling down at an angle to the desired depth and then gradually leveling out the bore and drilling under whatever obstacle might be in the way of open trenching and then resurfacing at the desired point.  This allows for installation of new lines without the disruption or damage to the surrounding environment.  The obstacle may be anything from a road to a ditch, lake, parking lot, landscaping, barn etc.  Often times the cost of boring can be offset by the savings of taking a more direct route.

We have worked on many prevailing wage projects. These projects have required us to complete both state and federal prevailing wage reports.
